Dear Tally—
Enclosed are a number of glossies for publicity, etc. Many of these are in the catalog. However, not the big one ONE EYED INDIAN #3. I hope to send you several big ones, even tho the show is titled:
FRITZ SCHOLDER, INDIANS AND LANDSCAPES, SMALL PAINTINGS, LITHOGRAPHS, DRAWINGS AND ETCHINGS.
Best regards,
Fritz
Dear Tally—
I am pleased that we are going to have a show in June.
The official title for the exhibition will be: INDIANS AND LANDSCAPES, Small Paintings, Lithographs, Drawings and Etchings.
I will have photos of the two new lithos NEW MEXICO and NOBLE INDIAN AFTER DIXON by the 15th and will send them to you. Enclosed are a few random photos for advance publicity, etc.
I will probably have the catalog done here in Scottsdale. As I mentioned, it will be the same format as the one before. I will send you layouts for New Mexico advertising later. I would like for you to concentrate on free advertising and articles, etc. Whenever possible, I would like for you to give a plug for the new book on the complete lithographs: FRITZ SCHOLER, LITHOGRAPHS which will be out in November, published by New York Graphic Society.
Tell me what else you need and your ideas.
Best regards,
Fritz
Dear Tally –
Thanks for the check and letter. No, I didn’t know about the Art News article. Am pleased at all that is happening. Am flying to NYC on the 7 to open my show at Cordier & Ekstrom on the evening of Jan 8. The Dartmouth portraits should make for a good exhibition. Will be in NY most of that week; might fly down to DC and see what Pyramid is doing. On Jan 16 I give a lecture at the Heard Museum; on Jan 25 the Heard opens its first invitational with 5 Indian artists including yours truly. During the first of Feb. the Scottsdale Fine Arts Commission will kick off a benefit with a new screen print of mine (limit of one to a person!) which is in the form of a commemorative poster. Then on Feb 20 the Phoenix Art Museum League will have me lecture and kick off their benefit with a new large lithograph PORTRAIT OF AN AMERICAN. On March 2 I open a show of new works at the Elaine Horwitch Gallery in Scottsdale and in July, a show at the Maxwell Galleries in San Francisco. I am not planning to have any shows in the Southwest this summer. I do plan however to give new major works to both you and Jamison at that time. (I will be sending you at least 2 new 30×40 canvases in January.
Must go…keep in touch.
Sincerely,
Fritz
The latest: Aberbach is arranging a major sales and exhibition show for me in Germany for 1975.

Yes, both drawings are right – the fellow is Ron Manka – I enjoy your letters – hang in there!
Fritz
Dear Tally – here is another check for $1000.

Dear Tally – here is the price list of work for the show – hope to get it sent off soon – haven’t put prices on Indian images for I have to find out what’s happening with San Fran. – plan to come down to Galisteo to pick up catalogs – with luck it will be there so I can bring some back on the plane – if not, then it will be Wednesday – when. I will call you on Sunday. See you soon.
Fritz
Dear Tally – the release looks good – the only change I made was to add ADOBE in front of churches. Will be back in Galisteo May 20—was pleased with the S.W. Art Gallery article. Thank you. Yes – the ptg on the cover should be for sale, but I decided that I wanted something from a cover! Have your envelopes ready for it looks like you won’t be getting the catalog till Wed. the 24th when Allen gets up to Taos after getting back from Scottsdale. I could have them ship by air, but by the time you got to Albuquerque and back – I don’t know if there would be much difference. – you see they won’t be ready to pick up till Mon 21. What do you think?
Gotta go.
Fritz
